What To Expect

If you’re on your way to GracePointe, chances are you’ve heard of us through someone who is a member of our community, or you’ve driven by our campus on Franklin Rd. or maybe you’ve simply stumbled across our website. Whatever the method of discovery, we’re thrilled you’re on your way and ultimately we believe many of you are coming because we need you and you need us.

Getting Here

We’re not hard to find geographically, as we’re located on one of Greater Nashville’s major arteries – Franklin Road. Just a half mile south of Cool Springs’ Moores Lane and a mile north of Mack Hatcher Parkway you will turn east onto a quaint street called Country Lane (our GracePointe sign marks the turn). Down a couple hundred yards you will make a right turn into our driveway and find yourself on our 23-acre campus which, though in the heart of the city, could pass for a nature preserve or state park.

As you enter our facility you’ll be greeted by multiple people whose lives have been impacted by God through the ministry of our church. The reason they’re smiling and reaching out to you with handshakes, bulletins and hot drinks is because they’re convinced the same impact is awaiting you. Our church is full of people who love one another and are eternally grateful for the gift this community has been in their lives.

Our Worship Services

Our worship services are an eclectic expression of our varied denominational backgrounds. We blend the emotion of the charismatic, the Bible-inspired teaching of the evangelical, and the beautiful sacramental expressions of the liturgical church. At the center of these forms, serving as their cohesive binder, is a raw and unpretentious sincerity. Our people believe that God is experienced in very special ways when two or three, or 30 or 40, or two or three thousand are gathered in His name.

As is true of a good wedding, we believe in the mixing of things “old and new”, things “borrowed and blue”. So we sing ancient hymns and we sing new songs. We read litanies and creeds and we take prayer requests and anoint the sick with oil. People dress in suits and ties and jeans and t-shirts. But beyond all of the sentient data you take in, we think you will sense an intangible movement in the space of our worship facility: a movement of peace, of joy, of comfort, of liberty… OF GOD! We can’t wait for you to experience Him with us.

Kids and Youth

Our children and youth are a high priority at GracePointe.  We believe that children go through specific developmental stages that can be implemental in their spiritual journey. Our staff is intentional when teaching your children, ensuring that they are learning biblical principles at age-appropriate levels.  Our chief desire is that GracePointe’s children will have an authentic encounter with God’s love while in our care.

For those with infants, toddlers and school-aged children, our dedicated children’s team will greet you as you enter the main foyer.  They will assist you with check-in and will gladly help you find your child’s class.  Along with spiritual formation, safety and security are our highest priorities and we hope you will feel completely comfortable leaving your child in our care.

Infants-3rd graders meet during both the 9:00 and 10:45 services.

The 4th and 5th grade class meet during both the 9:00 and 10:45 services as well. However, they join the adults in the main auditorium for the music portion of our service after which they are dismissed to their classroom.

6th-12th graders (GPYG)sit together in a special section on the far side of the Sanctuary during either the 9:00 or 10:45 service. The greeters can point your students in the right direction. The youth group also has its own youth service on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Come and Join Us!

There are so many incredible things that happen on a Sunday morning at GracePointe we can’t possibly capture them all here. Suffice it to say, we are a pretty regular group of folks who are by God’s creative love becoming more than the sum of our parts. Something quite special is indeed forming in this community of redeemed lives and we would love for you to be a part of it.
