What We Believe

We believe that our faith is essentially summarized in the Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed. Upon these principles and beliefs we base our service to God, God’s church and God’s world. Click here to view the Nicene and Apostles Creeds.

We believe our unity centers around the primary elements of the Christian faith: communion and the creeds. Beyond these, we believe in tolerance and dialogue, allowing us to build bridges between people of differing religious backgrounds.

We believe that a true follower of Jesus Christ is one who, in accordance with our Lord’s description in Matthew 22, Loves God, Loves Self and Loves Others.

We believe that our faith, practice, and worship should reflect a full expression of the historical and contemporary streams of the Church, where the Sacramental, Evangelical and Charismatic traditions converge. From this convergence, the three loves of God, Self and Others are manifested and emerge into nine distinctive streams that have been emphasized throughout the historical Holy Church of God: Theology, the Mystical Experience of God, Corporate Worship, Holiness, the Spiritual Disciplines, Recovery of Self, Community, Social Compassion and Evangelism.
