Our Pastors, Staff, Elders & Board Members
Pastor Leila Borders
Pastor of Parish Care
As early as I can remember I knew I was born for ministry. Dedicated to the art of loving, and the work of caregiving – I am passionate about people living healthy, productive, and peace-filled lives. Married to my high school sweetheart for 30 years, Mark and I are blessed to have both of our children living nearby. Our son, Josh & daughter-in-law, Sara both bring sunshine to our world every day! Our daughter, Beth (my twinkie some say) is the epitome of joy and laughter. We also have a surrogate child, Belle; she is a beautiful golden retriever who enjoys BBQ sauce with her chicken nuggets.
Pastor Melissa Greene
Pastor of Worship and Arts
animal lover, American Music Award winner, tae bo master, dreamer I love the arts. I love working with deeply passionate people, and I live for adventure. My very full life now gets to involve all three. My husband Ben, son Hutch, daughter Haven and our 4 legged companion King, keep this ride beautiful and anything but boring. We continue to dream big, live out of love, and watch in amazement at what else God will do.
Pastor Chris Hilicki
Pastor of Counseling Services
We all have a story (our life) which makes us uniquely special. Whether it is good, bad, sad or glad it is our treasure. My journey is to come along side you and uncover your treasure which may seem hidden and buried in darkness. Let’s bring it to Light. I love parties, poetry, movies, music and everything that moves my body and soul. Learning is irresistible whether from formal education, experience or YOU. My process includes TRUST, SAFETY, COMPASSION, and -oh yeah- hard work.
Women's Ministry Director
I start my day early by walking several miles. The steps I take give me the strength to plan the rest of my day, which is filled with absorbing as much as I can from this beautiful life I was blessed with. My husband, Richard and I are as much in love as the day we got married. Life, for me, is about family, faith, adventure, and fun. It’s beautiful.
I love sunrises. Every morning represents a fresh start and every challenge, to me, is merely a stone upon which I can sharpen my character. Life is about choices. I choose to be happy; to do good; to love God, myself and others. Being a founding member of GracePointe Church, I am passionate about its mission and purpose. I am also passionate about my pets, Frosty, Ollie & Mardi!
Director of Ministry Support
I was raised in the Methodist church in a small town on the Iowa Missouri border. I never dreamed I would be married to a pastor and in full time ministry. But, now I feel like this is what I was born to do. I’ve always had a heart for others.
Pastor Stan Mitchell
I wake up every morning saying “Hot dog, another day!” I love life and hate to sleep because I’m afraid I’m going to miss something. I think Easter celebrations and Stan Jr.’s baseball team are equally holy. I love to laugh, and I love to teach. I love to read and LOVE to talk St. Louis Cardinal baseball with my dad. By the way, I still get butterflies when I’m heading home to see my wife Nancy. And if you wonder why I’m shaped like a spiral it’s because a little girl named Nina Kay keeps me wrapped around her finger.
After living in 4 different countries, I have fallen in love with the diversity of God’s creation. I love to inspire others to their full potential. God uses my beautiful wife, Michelle, and my handsome son, Israel, to grow my spiritual walk everyday. My life plan is to never be bored, always be learning something new, and to surround myself with amazing people.
Pastor Buck Rambo
Pastor of Visitation Emeritus
After a whirl-wind ministry of 56 years, now I start my day at 5:30 am with coffee in bed served by my beautiful wife Mae with our puppy Princess. I never know what the rest of the day will bring as I head out into the vast needs of our congregation. My world revolves around my Church and extended family.
Assistant Director of Children's Ministries
I am an Alabama girl, y’all. I lived most of my life in a suburb of Birmingham. Deeply passionate about music, I moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University in 2004. While at Belmont, I began studying theology and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 2008. I spent my summers traveling and serving as a music leader for youth camps. After graduating from Belmont, I moved home and worked for a time as a children’s librarian – it was heavenly. A year later, I began my graduate studies in Library and Information Science, earning my Masters in 2012. Working with children has always been the direction in which my heart gravitates and I’m “pleased as punch” to be serving the children and families at GracePointe.
Pastor Clint Ribble
Pastor of Media Services and Technical Arts
While it may look like I am most comfortable holed up behind a computer, I’m actually most at ease spending time with actual human beings. My wife and two boys are clearly my first priority, and I love the experience of creating memorable moments with them. After studying computer music and sound design at Berklee College of Music, I moved to Nashville because I knew it would be a great place to raise a family.
Pastor Jennifer Smith
Pastor of Student Ministries & MyGPS Volunteer Program
I was born and raised in Houston, but my second home is Lafayette, Louisiana where I learned how to love life and learned how to cook. I love to cook big food for lots of people! My husband, Thomas, and I moved to Nashville for his job. After having my beautiful daughter, Jamie, I kissed corporate America goodbye and worked as the Administrative Director of a Montessori school. I found myself there. I have the utmost respect for children and absolutely love working with them and their families. I also find nothing more exciting than watching someone’s life flourish through the magic of volunteerism.
