Women in God's Service (WinGS)

There is something wonderfully unique about friendships among women. Maybe you are a stay at home mom or perhaps you work 40+ hours a week in the workplace. Whatever your day may look like, connecting with and building friendships with other women is a true gift.

In a world that seems to move faster and faster each day, stopping for a time, taking a deep breath and connecting with other women is something we all greatly need. So, whether your a mountain climber or a decorator, busy mom or college student, we can all come together, diversities in tow, with the joint purpose of learning more about a balanced, Christ centered life.

At a time in history where life seems driven by so much that can pull us away from human contact, GracePointe WinGS ministry (Women in God’s Service) strives to truly connect women of all ages and backgrounds. Helping you build meaningful relationships with other women is what we’re all about!

So, perhaps you’ve been standing by, watching and waiting to get involved. Now is the time! WinGS has so many opportunities for you to become a part; all you have to do is jump on for the ride. God wants to do great things in all of our lives and we might just find Him working through someone we never expected. Each of us are angels with only one wing, and it is only by embracing one another that we can truly fly.

Let us help YOU spread your wings and fly. For more information and to get plugged in, contact Pat Johnson at 615-394-1822 or [email protected].

Plan B – A Single Mom’s Life

Third Tuesday of Each Month at 6:30 p.m.

GracePointe is excited to launch a ministry for the Single Moms in our fellowship. It doesn’t matter how you became a single mom, but it does matter that you feel and find encouragement, strength and support from one another. Please join us on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Worship Center as we share wisdom and advice with each other as we study My Single Mom Life by author Angela Thomas.

Childcare will be provided at no charge and every participant will receive Angela’s book. Please sign up at the WinGS Kiosk so we can add you to the email list and order books.  Feel free to contact Suzanne Edwards at 615-708-1117 or [email protected] for additional information.  Also, connect with us on Facebook: Gracepoint Single Moms Ministry.

My Single Mom Life
The day Angela Thomas sold the only thing she had, the diamond from her engagement ring, to take care of her kids was the day she began to believe they were going to make it. In that decision, the faith she had always talked about became the faith she was going to learn how to live. In the years since, God has given Angela a passionate desire… to live an amazing life even while raising four kids as a single mom. In this book she shares her hard-earned wisdom on loneliness, dating, finances, and parenting, encouraging every solo mom. “As a gift to our children,” she says, “we can become healthy moms who are strong and amazing women in spite of our circumstances.”

WinGS FUEL Bag Collection

The Williamson County School System has more than one school where over 50% of the children in the school qualify for the ”Free Lunch Program”.  There is lack of food security for children in some of our schools, which means they do not have enough food at home on weekends or holidays. Graceworks Ministries created a program providing FUEL BAGS, small bags of nutritious and easy-to-serve food items, for children at one of the local schools. Teachers discreetly pack the bags in the children’s backpacks on Fridays before they leave for the weekend, and it will supplement their food at home. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The WinGS team is collecting food to donate to Graceworks Ministries for these FUEL BAGS each Sunday.

Items needed this month:

  • Shelf stable milk
  • Cereal or granola bars
  • Small packages of raisins

There will be a RED WAGON in front of the WinGS Kiosk on the front porch for you to drop off your donation on Sunday mornings.
