WinGS FUEL Bag Collection

The Williamson County School System has more than one school where over 50% of the children in the school qualify for the ”Free Lunch Program”.  There is lack of food security for children in some of our schools, which means they do not have enough food at home on weekends or holidays. Graceworks Ministries created a program providing FUEL BAGS, small bags of nutritious and easy-to-serve food items, for children at one of the local schools. Teachers discreetly pack the bags in the children’s backpacks on Fridays before they leave for the weekend, and it will supplement their food at home. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The WinGS team is collecting food to donate to Graceworks Ministries for these FUEL BAGS each Sunday.

Items needed this month:

  • Shelf stable milk
  • Cereal or granola bars
  • Small packages of raisins

There will be a RED WAGON in front of the WinGS Kiosk on the front porch for you to drop off your donation on Sunday mornings.

Ian Morgan Cron – Bio

Ian Morgan Cron

Few communicators can awaken people to the depth of God’s love like Ian Morgan Cron. Whether he is guiding a retreat for artists, introducing university students to contemplative spirituality, introducing a non-denominational congregation to liturgical worship by leading them in a sung communion service, teaching a seminar on creative writing, or addressing a conference on what the Church can learn from AA and Twelve Step spirituality, Ian is a master at creating safe spaces where people can encounter God in new and life-giving ways.

Ian is the author of the critically acclaimed Chasing Francis: A Pilgrim’s Tale and Jesus, My Father, the CIA and Me: A Memoir…Of Sorts. He has spoken at Willow Creek, Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University, Denver Seminary, the Catalyst Conference, the International Arts Movement Encounter, Story 2011, the Center for Action and Contemplation with Richard Rohr, Belmont University, Willow Creek, The Wild Goose Festival, Mars Hill, Laity Lodge, The Storyline Conference with Donald Miller, and recently alongside Amy Grant and Becca Stephens at An Evening of Stories at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Whether it’s for a group of Baptists, progressive evangelicals, or Episcopalians, Ian moves people with his humor, intellect, and rich personal experiences.

In addition to his writing and speaking, Ian is the curator of the Conversations on Courage and Faith Series at Christ Church in Greenwich, Connecticut, which in the past year has hosted Nobel Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, author and Medal of Freedom Winner Maya Angelou, theologian NT Wright, Phyllis Tickle, Brian McLaren, Tony Campolo, artist Makoto Fujimura, and Duke University theologian Jeremy Begbie, among others.
