An Important Update on In-Person Gatherings
GracePointe,
In an ongoing effort to protect the health and wellbeing of our community during the latest surge of COVID-19, our staff and Leadership Council have some updates to share about our weekly in-person gatherings.
We all recognize the unfortunate spread that is rapidly occurring, especially amongst the nation’s youngest, and we have heard from our parents and GracePointe Kids/Youth volunteers about reservations of gathering during this current spike in transmissions. As such, effective this Sunday, August 22nd, the following changes will be temporarily implemented:
One (1) in-person gathering will be offered at 10:30AM CT.
GracePointe Youth will join GracePointe Kids as online-only via Discord for virtual gatherings during the 10:30AM gathering.
These are both temporary measures, and we intend to return to our two gatherings as soon as our Kids and Youth are able to more safely gather in person.
We respectfully request that if you attend an in-person gathering and subsequently test positive for COVID-19 afterward, please visit our Community Care page and let us know. You do not have to disclose your identity, but this will allow us to keep the GracePointe community informed in the event of a positive test. Even if you choose to disclose your identity, it will not be shared with the community beyond the fact that we had an in-person community member who has recently tested positive.
We encourage everyone who has any reservation whatsoever about gathering inside during this current spike in transmissions to consider making the temporary switch to our virtual space that happens at the same time on YouTube. Whether you join us in-person or online, each and every one of you are an important and vital part of the GP community.
We are doing everything we can to keep in-person gatherings as an option while also responding to a set of rapidly changing circumstances. We are grateful to this community for always being supportive and engaged as we navigate these uncharted waters.
All the best,
Pastor Josh Scott
