This week at GracePointe, we will conclude our series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” with a Question and Response time with Lead Pastor Josh Scott.
Over the past couple months we have explored the Jesus story and its meaning for us today. What questions has this series raised for you? We want to hear them! Josh will take questions LIVE from both the in-person and online communities, as well as questions submitted ahead of time if you’d prefer. Email them to josh@gracepointe.net.
We can’t wait to see you online or in person this Sunday!

This week at GracePointe we will continue our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” by exploring what Jesus means for us today.
For two thousand years Christians have debated, theologized, and fought (quite literally) about the meaning and nature of Jesus. Not every Christian or denomination answers this question the same way. So, what does Jesus mean through a Progressive Christian lens?
We’ll talk about it when we see you online or in person this Sunday!
This week at GracePointe we will continue our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” by looking at the story of the Ascension.
In Luke and Acts the risen Christ is taken into heaven after his resurrection. Is this a literal story? What do we do with it?
We’ll explore this fascinating story when we see you online or in person this Sunday!

This Sunday is Palm Sunday on the Christian calendar, which means Holy Week begins. At GracePointe we will continue our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” by exploring one of the central events of his story: Jesus’s death on the cross.
What can we say about the reason for Jesus’s death historically? How can we understand it theologically in ways that don’t create a toxic portrait of God?
We can’t wait to see you online or in person this Sunday as we explore these questions and more!
Read MoreThis Sunday at GracePointe our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” continues. Our focus remains on Jesus’s Kingdom of God movement and how he enacted that vision. That Jesus had the reputation of being a healer seems historically grounded. But what was the nature of those healings? Physical, literal? Or social, metaphorical? Can we really know?
Our focus this week will be on Jesus’s healings and exorcisms, and how they worked to further announce and display the kingdom of God through radically inclusive community.
Read MoreThis Sunday at GracePointe we continue our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” by focusing on Jesus’s teaching. Primarily, Jesus taught through the use of parables, memorable sayings, and prophetic demonstrations. His teaching focused on the Kingdom of God, living as if it were already present, and resisting Roman domination through nonviolence.
We’ll explore examples of all these ways Jesus taught when we see you online or in person Sunday!
We are so excited to welcome Liz Dyer to GracePointe this Sunday!
In 2014, Liz had a dream that she could start a private Facebook group for moms of LGBTQ kids and those moms would end up helping to make the world a kinder, safer, more loving place for all LGBTQ people to live. The “Mama Bears” are a network of groups, websites, special projects and resources dedicated to supporting, educating and empowering parents of LGBTQ+ kids and the LGBTQ+ Community.
We are also honored to welcome Jennifer Knapp as our musical guest. Jennifer is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, author, speaker, and advocate.
This Sunday at GracePointe we continue our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” by zeroing in on the movement he called the “Kingdom of God.” For many people this was code for “going to heaven when we die,” but for Jesus it seems to have meant something very different, something more concrete and this-worldly. What does the Kingdom of God look like and how did Jesus share this vision? We’ll begin that conversation when we see you online or in person Sunday!
Read MoreThis Sunday at GracePointe we continue our latest series, “Meeting Jesus Again, for the First Time,” by turning to how Jesus saw God. How we imagine God—what God is like, God’s character, etc.— will shape how we live our lives in the world. If God was the engine behind Jesus’s movement, how did Jesus understand God?
